I was raised in New Hampshire, attended college in Vermont and worked for the federal government for 6 ½ years before becoming a full-time mom. My family and I moved to Alaska in late 1999 as part of my husband Steven’s 20-year career in the United States Marine Corps. In February 2002 we made the decision to retire and remain in Alaska, where we feel God wants us to be. We have been married for 27 years and have two children: Gregory, 26, who works for GCI Telecommunications and Elizabeth, 20, a sophomore at the University of Kansas. We have been members of St. Michael Parish since the summer of 2000. Gregory was an alter server, was confirmed here and attended two sessions of Youth in Theology and Ministry at St. John’s University. Elizabeth was both confirmed and made her first communion here and has been a lector. Steven is a member of the Knights of Columbus and I have been involved in many areas including the Saturday night choir (flute), faith formation, baptismal instruction, and Slippery Gulch.
